A Few Of My Favorite Things

Cosmetic beauty products on white

Hey, ya’ll! Long time no talk to. I’ll be honest between my full-time job and my side hustle as a freelance writer I haven’t had much time to dedicate to my personal blog. But this blog is my baby and I’ve neglected her for far too long. I’m back and ready to share with you guys a few of my favorite things. This list is not sponsored and includes items that I purchased and genuinely love.

Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil

Sephora

This oil doubles as oil for both your hair and body. While I haven’t used it much on my body I love it for my hair. I have color-treated natural curls that can tend to be on the drier side. This oil not only moisturizes but also adds shine to my curls. I love to use it on my hair while it is wet after I’ve applied my styling products. Oh and if you love all things rose smelling like me, you will love the smell of this oil!

Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Lotion

Target

This lotion makes me so nostalgic. I can practically feel my grandma slathering cocoa butter on me whenever I smell this lotion. This lotion is made of cocoa and shea butter and keeps my dry skin looking and feeling nourished even in the cold winter months.

Elta MD UV Elements Broad Spectrum SPF 44

Amazon

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you don’t need SPF. You do. It took me a minute to find one that paired well with my sensitive yet oily skin but I’m loving this one from Elta MD. What I love about this SPF is that it has a moisturizing base which is important even for oily skin. It is also gentle enough for those of you who have sensitive skin like me. I use the tinted one but it is available in non-tinted as well.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying

Walmart

I don’t wear makeup every day but when I do I find that I like to double cleanse to ensure that I am thoroughly cleaning my face. Before washing my face I reach for this micellar cleansing water that removes the majority of the makeup, dirt, and oil before I even reach for my cleanser.

Philosophy Pure Grace Eau de Parfum

Sephora

I received this perfume as a sample from Sephora and fell in love. This has quickly become my everyday perfume. It’s hard to describe the smell but it smells light, crisp, and clean. It’s pretty long-lasting too. I think this will forever be a fave.

Pureology Strength Cure Superfood Treatment

Ulta Beauty

This mask y’all! If they ever stop making it…you know what I’m not even going to speak that negativity into my life. I use this mask once a week as a deep conditioner and it leaves my hair detangled, moisturized, and super soft every single time.

The Mane Choice Laid Back Effortlessly Growth Stimulating Edge Control

Sally Beauty

This is probably the 10th or 11th edge control that I have tried but I think I have finally found one that will end my search and that is actually worth repurchasing! This edge control lays my edges, doesn’t flake, or dry out my hair. I can’t speak on whether it stimulates growth as thankfully I haven’t experienced any thinning in quite some time but if you do have thinning edges it’s worth a shot.

Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser

Target

I’ve been using Cetaphil products for quite some time now but decided to swap out the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for this foaming cleanser and I love it! It effectively cleans my face but doesn’t leave it feeling stripped. It is also gentle on my sensitive skin which is always a plus.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius Amazing Foot Cream

Target

I picked this up on a whim during a trip to my favorite place: Target. I have no regrets. I use it at night after I have showered. In the morning my feet feel much softer and smoother.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

Sephora

Hands down my favorite concealer. It is creamy and easy to blend. I buy it in 2 different shades; one to brighten under my eyes and one to cover dark blemishes. It plays well with my favorite powder and I rarely use foundation now as a result.
